Happy Veterans Day!

When I was in boot camp I lived in Ship 9, the USS John F. Kennedy. Most of the buildings were named after Naval ships. Our ship was decorated with pictures and quotes from JFK. Since we weren't allowed to just roam around I only got to see a little of it. Whenever we were in the Quarterdeck I saw this quote, "I can imagine no more rewarding a career. And any man who may be asked in this century what he did to make his life worthwhile, I think can respond with a good deal of pride and satisfaction: 'I served in the United States Navy." It always made me feel proud. I also thought it was neat that someone who was president at the time said it. Granted, when he was in the Navy he was an officer and a war hero but still!

I'd like to say Happy Veterans Day to anyone who has or is currently serving. To all those serving now I wish I could be out there with you!
I'd like to wish an extra special day to:
~My husband, who's underway... again
~Gaines-Creighton, she's in Turkey
~May-Smith, she's in Bahrain
